Here’s how this year’s annual event will work:

Leadership Adventures Workshop
Leadership Adventures participants arrive into Jackson Hole airport (Jackson, Wyoming) on Friday, August 18, 2017. A welcoming committee will meet you at the airport and run shuttles to take you from the airport to the ranch.  Upon arrival we will host a meet and greet and overview of the agenda.  We will then head immediately to the backcountry portion of the ranch, via horseback, where we will spend the first 3 days/nights discussing and applying principles of strengths-based leadership.  On Monday, August 21, 2017, participants will depart the backcountry and make their way back to the ranch via horseback, in time to get settled to observe the Solar Eclipse from one of the world’s premier viewing spots!  We will get you settled into your rustic-luxury cabin accommodations, where you will remain until the conclusion of the Summit.  On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, participants move between the lodge-based classroom, the barn, and the trail to learn and apply principles of strengths-based leadership.  Participants will work with other participants and horses during the activities.     By getting out of their comfort zone and working with a horse, participants learn faster, retain more, and are able to go home equipped with upon-return-impact.  Horses-Wide-2_smIn short, this type of experiential learning helps you to unleash your strengths-based leadership horsepower! Participants will learn the basics of working with a horse to optimize their strengths, including horse safety, being around a horse, how a horse thinks/acts, horse preparation, walking a horse, saddling a horse, riding a horse (if desired). Embedded into these horse lessons are strengths-based leadership lessons that apply to working with people, which will be unveiled throughout the summit. The leadership focus areas uncovered will include aspects of understanding and building effective working relationships, knowing yourself and others, empowering effective teams, setting direction, and working the plan.  This Summit includes the Strengths-Based Leadership Certification, as taught by a Gallup-certified Clifton Strengths Coach.  The Summit concludes on Friday, August 25 with lunch and a shuttle back to Jackson Hole airport.  Participants may choose to depart either Friday morning or Friday afternoon; our shuttles will accommodate your air travel.
